Decided to get off of 90 and stay somewhere that didn’t have the free, all yellow breakfast. found a motel with cabins, Powder Lodge. Bailey loved the space and we loved sitting at a restaurant that served a decent martini. Next morning headed to hike in the Black Hills. Had a great 5 mile hike before heading to Rapid City to join an Indivisible protest. It was great! South Dakota is super red. The protesters were mostly white older people with a lot of heart. They described how hard it is to live in a red state. We got invited to a potluck with the area dems but passed to get on the road on our way to my sisters in Bozeman. Stayed overnight in Spearfish SD at a crummy motel. No bedbugs thankfully. Had a great dinner at a farm to table restaurant which made up for it!
